Our aim is to give our patients the highest possible quality of care by ensuring excellence in all aspects of our practice. We may look like a big Medical Centre , but we are really a traditional Family Practice. This is where you and all of your family, from youngest to oldest ,can receive personalised treatment with an experienced and caring doctor of your choice. We have been doing this in Miranda for almost 50 years.
Messages and Alerts
We are currently administering 2023 Flu vaccinations and the 2023 Covid Booster dose.
Our fees are changing. Miranda Central General Practice has been forced to make the very difficult decision to cease most bulk billing for consultations (including Telehealth) and to also charge for dressing supplies.
Unfortunately, general practice services are under enormous pressure and no longer viable with current Medicare funding. Despite the increase in costs of running a private practice, successive Governments have not increased the Medicare rebate enough to support your ongoing healthcare.
If you are angry and frustrated about the decision we have been forced to make, then please understand that we share the anger and frustration. Feel free to share with your
Federal Member of Parliament, Scott Morrison, to address these issues.

In December 2007 the practice moved to the current larger and purpose-built surgery on the corner of the Kingsway and Central Road, Miranda. Many local people had known this location over many years as the Builders and Businessmen’s Club.
In late 2008, Dr. Leanne Corbett was welcomed to the team with her wide background in General Practice and hospital based surgical and gynaecological work. After an 18 month stay in the USA, Dr Yi Yi Chen joined us in November 2015, with experience in hospital work and inner city General Practice. In July 2017 Dr Xiaoshuang (Lilly) Chen moved to join us from a busy GP role including obstetrics at Milton and Nowra on the South Coast .
In November 2021, Dr Maung Win joins us from a general practice in Griffith where he has worked for the past 8 years. He has a special interest in skin cancer detection and treatment.
