Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)

The ABI test is a quick non invasive bulk billed test with immediate results.

​

It compares blood pressure in your ankle and arm to assess how well blood is flowing to your legs.

It helps detect Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).

​

This is important as PAD increases your risk of heart attack, stroke and poor circulation.

​

You are eligible if you have any of the following: 

​

• Over 55yrs old

• Diabetic, high blood pressure or high cholesterol

• Smoking history or heart problems 

• Experiencing leg pains, cramps or poor wound healing.
